Strategic connections
Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s leading logistics hubs, and the Öresund region ranks as the second-largest logistics hub in the Nordics. More than ten million people are within reach within a few hours. The coming Fehmarn Belt tunnel will strengthen connections to continental Europe even further.
Diverse logistics infrastructure
Helsingborg is home to one of Sweden’s largest logistics and commerce clusters, with more than 3,200 logistics companies, wholesalers and third-party providers operating across millions of square metres of logistics space.
The region brings together expertise in third-party logistics, grocery logistics, fast-moving consumer goods, e-commerce and temperature-controlled transport. It also hosts some of the country’s most advanced and automated warehouse solutions—giving Helsingborg a strong position both nationally and internationally.

Leading sustainable logistics together
Helsingborg leads in sustainable logistics and acts as a testbed for innovation across the supply chain. Work here spans electrified transport and charging infrastructure, digital logistics solutions, last-mile delivery and circular flows.
The Port of Helsingborg, Sweden’s second-largest container port, provides direct access to global value chains and efficient import and export—an important foundation for more sustainable logistics flows.
Through the Helsingborg Declaration, more than 60 companies across the logistics chain work alongside academia and the public sector to identify new business opportunities and accelerate the green transition. The goal is clear: to make Familjen Helsingborg Europe’s most agile and sustainable logistics hub.
Logistics training and development
Helsingborg has a strong talent base in logistics:
- Lund University, Campus Helsingborg, with 4,000 students and the REAL (Retail and Logistics) research platform
- Several vocational programmes focused on logistics and commerce
- More than 34,000 people in the region working in logistics and commerce
- A testbed for innovative logistics and transport solutions
Sweden’s e-commerce headquarters
Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s leading e-commerce hubs, with more e-commerce companies per capita than any other municipality. Nearly half of Sweden’s total e-commerce turnover has critical links to Familjen Helsingborg, reinforcing its national and international relevance.
The region is also a leader in last-mile delivery. Major e-commerce players use Helsingborg as a rapid delivery hub, supported by a high concentration of automated warehouses.
Initiatives such as E-commerce Park play a central role, providing access to research, networks, education, partnerships, innovation and capital to support growth.
A complete logistics and commerce resource
Few places in the Nordics bring together the entire commerce value chain in one location. Helsingborg does—combining logistics, commerce, e-commerce platforms, technology development, packaging, payment solutions, marketing and a major container port.
