HH Connection – Fredrik Meyer, Infrastructure Strategist, City of Helsingborg
The narrowest point of the Øresund offers a real opportunity to strengthen integration between Sweden and Denmark. A fixed link between Helsingborg and Helsingør would create a shared labour market stretching from southern Halland and northern Skåne to eastern Zealand and Copenhagen. The link would also add much-needed capacity and resilience to the Øresund region. In a more uncertain world, both civil and military preparedness must be strengthened to safeguard military mobility and vital supply chains in the event of crisis or war.
