1. Indulge in royal splendor at blooming Sofiero

Sofiero Palace and Gardens is a former royal summer castle and a park in constant bloom and transformation. Stroll along colorful flower-lined paths and enjoy beautiful perennial gardens.  Don’t miss a visit to the castle itself and the royal rooms with their exhibitions — all included in the entrance fee.

You can reach Sofiero Palace and Gardens by walking along the seaside promenade (approx. 5 km) or by taking bus number 8 from Helsingborg Central Station. The bus ride takes about 17 minutes. Book your ticket and check the timetable in the Skånetrafiken app.

2. Kärnan – 146 Steps from Paradise

Do you want to experience a truly historic adventure that takes you and your friends on a journey through time and space? The journey begins at Stortorget, right in the heart of the city, where you’ll find the terrace steps leading up to Slottshagen Park and Kärnan – Helsingborg’s proud symbol.

This tower has stood guard over the city since the Middle Ages and invites you to explore its captivating passageways and fascinating stories. After climbing 146 adventurous steps inside the tower and all the way up to the sky, your reward awaits – the best view in Helsingborg!

3. Welcome to a World of Chocolate

Something sweet after a meal or a delicious treat for your coffee break is more or less a must during your trip, right? Then don’t miss Chocolatte – the city’s sweetest chocolate factory, right in the heart of Helsingborg, where every praline is handmade with love. Why not bring home a little sweet gift for someone you care about, too? And during summer, their homemade ice cream is an absolute must.

4. Wallåkra Stoneware Factory Since 1864

Take the opportunity to discover even more echoes of history during your visit to Helsingborg. Just over 10 kilometers south of central Helsingborg, you’ll find Wallåkra Stoneware Factory — a cultural remnant from the craft and industrial era of northwestern Skåne.

The factory is beautifully located in natural surroundings, nestled in the valley of the Råån Valley. Here, you and your friends can try pottery throwing, enjoy delicious food at the restaurant in the old warehouse building, or simply relax and take in the beautiful scenery.

5. Fredriksdal Museums and Gardens

A visit to Fredriksdal Museums and Gardens is much more than scenic walks and birdsong. It is also a journey through time and space, where you can discover historic thatched-roof buildings, an 18th-century manor house, and wander through an entire old city quarter from historic Helsingborg.

In Helsingborg’s green oasis, there is something for everyone, regardless of age or interests. Visitors can join guided tours through history and enjoy all the charm of countryside living without ever leaving the city.
